Our commercial division can turn its hand to many bespoke projects such as transforming a disused bungalow into new open plan office space or upgrading compact showers within a changing room in a factory.
One of several patios completed recently, this one in a very attractive porcelain.
Our team have been busy installing more adapted and accessible kitchens. Each kitchen is designed specifically to suit the needs of the individual client. This kitchen includes a rise and fall worktop to aid access to the sink and hob.
Complex structural alterations are something that we encounter on a few projects. Working with our structural engineer, we designed and installed this system to support a three-storey building to allow the widening of the opening and installation of a pair of steel beams.
We create some lovely garden buildings. This project was a large bespoke design garden studio. The client wanted their studio to have as much light as possible but also as energy efficient as possible. The building was designed around SIPS (super insulated panel system) which was manufactured off site to create a warm but also cool building. This was finished with cedar cladding and anthracite windows and doors. The paths were created with grass grids, filled with soil and seeded.
As part of a recent upgrade at the Rifle Hall in Halesworth, we created a new disabled toilet within a larger room. We work on many older and listed buildings, some in need of some care and attention. Working out what to do, and what not to do, requires the correct knowledge to allow the building to work and breathe properly, just as it was originally designed and built.
Sometimes you uncover something beautiful when remodelling older buildings. These lovely limewashed roof timbers were hidden behind an unattractive false ceiling. Opening up the room created this amazing vaulted ceiling finished off with the client’s stunning lighting.
As the weather improves, we will be installing more fencing as part of our landscaping projects
Older buildings look amazing when they are maintained. This is an example of a Victorian cottage where the brickwork was transformed once the pointing was redone in a lovely lime mortar.
Our teams continue to be busy with adaptations to homes to provide accessible facilities for our clients. Remodelling an old kitchen and utility to provide open plan access was key to this project. This kitchen also features a rise and fall worktop to provide better access to the sink and hob.
We are an installer of AKW accessible kitchens which are tailored to the needs of the individual client. We install these high-quality kitchens for both domestic and local authority clients.
We have had a busy year installing many care wetrooms in Norfolk and Suffolk, for domestic and local authority clients. Each client’s needs and requirements are considered when designing their bespoke accessible wetroom installation.
We are an installer of AKW and Mira care equipment and Closomat wash dry toilets.
Our concreting and handrailing gang have been busy over the last year with many completed projects.
We have completed a large number of ramps, steps, hardstandings and patios for domestic and local authority clients.
We carry out structural repairs for domestic and local authority clients. Our most recent project was to repair the side of a bungalow damaged after being struck by a vehicle.
The gable of the building required temporary propping and support to stabilise the brickwork before we could commence demolition of the damaged areas and rebuild the brickwork.
Following completion of the external works, the internal walls and ceiling required repairing and redecoration.
We have had a busy start to 2022 as we expand, with more level access showers/wet rooms, disabled adaptations including ramps and assisted living alterations being completed.
In the first 10 weeks of 2022, 12 projects have been completed with another 11 booked in and due to be completed over the next 12 weeks. Most of these works are in the Norwich area, however some are closer to home in Walberswick and Southwold, Suffolk.
Our experienced teams complete most of these works in less than two weeks to our usual high standards minimising the disruption to our clients.
We are happy to assist/advise on your requirements for any adaptations you may need.
We continue to carry out alterations, refurbishment, and new build extensions for individual clients across Norfolk and Suffolk.
Recent projects have included challenging ground conditions where conventional foundations couldn’t be installed. As a result, we have had foundations designed by our structural engineer and piling and/or raft foundations have been installed, some in very confined spaces.
Several projects completed recently have involved repair and alterations to Victorian properties where our experienced teams carry out work to correctly maintain the integrity of the original building.
During the latter part of 2021, we expanded our commercial works division to complete several projects for our valued clients.
Construction of a new laboratory and QC testing facility were completed at the end of 2021 and 2022 has seen us start on construction of a new office area for one client in Walberswick, Suffolk.
Several projects are planned in for 2022 and we will update on those in future news bulletins.
